The Lagos State Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja has granted social media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, bail in the sum of N20 million over her ongoing trial for an alleged N69.15 million fraud.
Justice Rahman Oshodi approved the bail application on Thursday after considering arguments from both parties, while noting that the court had a duty to independently evaluate the nature of the charges and the penalties prescribed by law.
Blessing CEO was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on June 9, 2026, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretences and stealing.
According to the EFCC, the defendant allegedly obtained N69.15 million from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited in March 2025 under the guise of facilitating the lease of a property in the Lekki area of Lagos.
She, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
During the hearing of the bail application, the court requested clarification over the whereabouts of the defendant’s international passport.
Her lawyer informed the court that the passport had been lost and presented an affidavit of loss alongside public notices issued to that effect.
In his ruling, Justice Oshodi admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N20 million with two responsible sureties in like amount.
The court directed that each surety must submit a three year bank statement or provide evidence of a fixed deposit worth at least N20 million.
The judge also ordered that the defendant and her sureties be profiled through the Lagos State Judiciary’s Bail Information Management System.
In addition, the court directed that the Nigerian Immigration Service be notified of restrictions placed on the defendant’s international travel pending the conclusion of the trial.

The case was subsequently adjourned until October 12, 2026, for continuation of hearing.
