Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has said his side paid for their mistakes in the heavy defeat to Sudan, Prompt News reports.
Chelle’s side fell to a disappointing 4-0 defeat against Sudan in their second Group D game at the 2024 African Nations Championship.
The Eagles were eliminated from the competition following the defeat.
Sudan scored twice in each half to condemn the West Africans to their second defeat in the competition.
The Eagles have conceded five times at CHAN 2024, and are yet to register a goal.
Chelle stated that his players paid for their loss concentration.
“The players focused in the first 20 minutes. Our goal was ruled out, and afterwards, we made a lot of mistakes… 4 mistakes, 4 goals,” the Malian was quoted by CAFonline.
