Cercle Brugge have completed the signing of Nigerian-born defender Tayo Adaramola from Crystal Palace, Prompt News Online reports.
The 22-year-old left-back has signed a four-year contract with the Belgian Pro League outfit, keeping him at the club until 2030.
Adaramola already has experience of Belgian football following a loan spell with RWD Molenbeek during the second half of the 2023/24 campaign.
The defender started his football career with Irish youth sides St Kevin’s Boys and St Mochta’s before joining Crystal Palace’s academy in 2015.
He subsequently progressed through the ranks at the Premier League club before gaining senior experience away from Selhurst Park.
Born in Dublin to Yoruba Nigerian parents, Adaramola has represented the Republic of Ireland across several youth categories.
He has also been capped once by the Republic of Ireland at senior international level.
“I’m very happy that I can call Cercle my new home from now on. I had a good feeling right from the very first conversations. I can’t wait to get started and show what I’m capable of,” Adaramola told the club’s official website.
Luciano Murchio, Technical Director: “We are very happy to welcome Tayo Adaramola to Cercle. He is a young left-back, but one who has already gained mature experience at different levels in England and in the Belgian Pro League. He is a forward-thinking player with good offensive qualities who will complement our current squad well, and we look forward to seeing him take the next step in his career with Cercle.”
