A Canada based Nigerian woman, Mrs Ezinne Nwanorue, has accused her husband, Franklin Nwanorue, of being unfaithful despite publicly taking an oath to remain faithful to their marriage.
Mrs Nwanorue made the allegation in a post shared on her Facebook page on Thursday, days after videos of the couple making separate vows of fidelity attracted widespread attention on social media.
The videos, which circulated online on Tuesday, showed the husband and wife invoking death upon themselves if either engaged in extramarital affairs.
In one of the recordings, Franklin Nwanorue pledged to remain faithful after joining his wife in Canada, saying he believed the declaration was inspired by God and made in the interest of his family.
He vowed that he should die if he ever cheated on his wife after relocating abroad.
His wife also made a similar declaration in a separate video, promising to remain sexually faithful to her husband and invoking the same consequence should she violate the vow.
However, in a subsequent Facebook post, Mrs Nwanorue alleged that her husband had already been involved with another woman despite making the public declaration.
She claimed a woman, whom she described as her husband’s alleged lover, admitted that they had a sexual relationship after the oath was taken.
Mrs Nwanorue further alleged that although her husband financed her relocation to Canada, she was expected to assist him in obtaining a visa to join her abroad.
According to her, she had endured considerable hardship in the marriage but remained committed to helping him complete the immigration process.
She maintained that her husband would face the consequences of the oath if he was indeed unfaithful, expressing confidence that divine judgment would prevail.

As of the time of filing this report, Franklin Nwanorue had not publicly responded to the fresh allegations, and the claims had not been independently verified.
