The petition for the recall of the Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has failed.
The petition submitted a couple of weeks ago failed to meet the requirements of the Nigerian Constitution.
A statement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said on its social media handle.
Prompt News reports that a terse statement in @inecnigeria, the nation’s electoral umpire said that: “the petition for the recall the of Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District has not met the requirement of Section 69 (a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).
INEC said details of its findings in the frivolous petition from Kogi state will be made public soon.
