Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso says Victor Boniface could return to action by the end of the month.
Boniface has been sidelined since sustaining an adductor injury during Nigeria’s preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 23-year-old returned to training last week after spending weeks recuperating from the injury.
The striker was earlier scheduled to return to action in April but he has make a quick recovery from the injury.
Alonso revealed that Boniface is in line to step on the pitch again this month.
He’s not ready yet, but next week we have an international break and we’ll use the time to take a step forward with him,” Alonso told a press conference.
“Maybe for Hoffenheim if everything goes well, but we’ll see.
“We need to have a bit more patience but he’s close to getting back on the pitch.” READ ALSO:

Boniface has scored 16 goals and provided eight assists in 23 games across all competitions this season.
