As schools across Lagos wrap up their academic sessions with graduation ceremonies, Blessed Genius Kids School, Sangotedo, Lagos, proudly joined the celebration on Friday, August 25, 2025.
The proprietress, Mrs. Sunday Jimmy, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for His guidance throughout the school year and extended appreciation to the parents for being a strong support system to the school.
Speaking on the school’s motto, “Godliness and Fruitfulness,” Mrs. Jimmy emphasized that Blessed Genius Kids School goes beyond academic excellence to raise future leaders.
“We ensure our children are well-rounded independent, knowledgeable, and equipped with values that require no external supervision,” she said.

During the handover ceremony where outgoing prefects passed on the baton to newly appointed ones, Mrs. Jimmy encouraged parents never to underestimate their children.
“Every child has potential. With consistent motivation and guidance, they become productive and effective leaders. Support your children, especially those assuming leadership roles, and help them remain punctual and focused,” she urged.
The Chairman of the occasion, Pastor Nathaniel Arthur, commended the school for its efforts in grooming the next generation. He encouraged parents to view education as a long-term investment rather than a time-consuming process.
“A child’s education is a critical aspect of their development. Beyond enrolling them in school, parents must provide moral, emotional, and spiritual support. Parenting goes beyond school fees. Good morals and discipline must be instilled,” Pastor Arthur emphasized, drawing on the event’s theme, “Born to Win.”
He also offered key advice to the pupils:
Trust in God
Work hard
Choose the right peers
“Many children are misled by peers, often without their parents’ knowledge. If you are a serious parent, your child will reflect that. If you exhibit bad behaviour, expect the same from your child,” he added.
Head Teacher, Miss Victoria Joseph, addressed the graduating pupils, reminding them that the journey ahead will come with new challenges.
“The next level is different from primary school. Never give up , challenges are opportunities for growth,” she advised.
Miss Joseph further highlighted the school’s holistic approach to education.
“We focus not only on academics but also on mental, spiritual, physical, and social development. As our motto implies, we instill Godly character and excellence in our pupils.”
