Global music icon Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter has officially joined the billionaire league, as Forbes now estimates her fortune at over $1 billion, placing her among a select group of musicians to reach the milestone.
With this achievement, Beyoncé joins Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and her husband Jay-Z — whose wealth Forbes pegs at about $2.5 billion — as the only artists to cross the billion-dollar mark through music and related ventures.
The financial breakthrough follows decades of success across entertainment and entrepreneurship.
Earlier this month, Forbes had valued her net worth at around $800 million, noting that she was on track to reach billionaire status — a projection that has now materialised.
A major driver of her rise is the massive success of her Renaissance World Tour in 2023, which reportedly generated close to $600 million in global revenue. Beyoncé also struck a direct distribution deal with AMC Theatres for the tour’s concert film, personally earning nearly half of its $44 million box office proceeds. The tour marked her first solo global outing in seven years.

Her 2024 album Cowboy Carter further strengthened her financial standing. The project, praised for spotlighting Black influences in country music, earned Beyoncé her first-ever Grammy Award for Album of the Year after four previous nominations. Forbes estimates that the accompanying tour pulled in over $400 million from ticket sales, alongside roughly $50 million in merchandise revenue. The shows featured appearances by Jay-Z, two of their children, and members of Destiny’s Child.
Although reports indicated that some tour dates initially faced slower ticket demand — leading to price adjustments — Beyoncé still set records, including the highest-priced concert ticket in the UK in 2025 at £950, while entry-level tickets sold for about £71.
Additional income streams also boosted her billionaire status. These include an estimated $50 million payday for headlining Netflix’s first-ever Christmas Day NFL halftime show, as well as about $10 million earned from endorsement campaigns with Levi’s.
Elsewhere, Bloomberg has classified Selena Gomez as a billionaire with an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion, though Forbes disputes that figure, placing her wealth at approximately $700 million.
Prompt News reports Beyoncé’s latest milestone reflects not just chart dominance but long-term strategic expansion across touring, film, endorsements, and brand partnerships — reinforcing her status as one of the most influential and financially powerful figures in global entertainment.
