  More migrants from North and Sub-Saharan Africa are crossing over to Italy and Malta, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee (UNHCR) announced on Friday. At the weekly media briefing in Geneva, UNHCR spokesman, Adrian Edwards, gave 8,400 as the number that crossed the Mediterranean to the two countries within the first six months of 2013. At last, the Ibadan-Oyo segment of the Ibadan-Ilorin four-lane highway (Route A1) corridor has been commissioned. The project is a 43.25Km dual-carriageway comprising of 13 underpasses, 12 numbers of bridges (seven of which are dual and 5 were single), 29 numbers of reinforced concrete pipe culverts and 51,827m of lined drains.
