Malam Isah Garba, CITAD Senior Programmes Officer stated this while briefing newsmen on Thursday in Bauchi. The Supreme Court of India on Thursday delivered a split verdict on the Karnataka Government’s hijab ban as the bench of Justices Hemant Gupta and Sudhanshu Dhulia could not arrive at a unanimous decision. A Magistrates’ Court in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, has ordered that a 37-year-old brick layer, Christopher Luka, be remanded in a correctional facility for alleged impersonation and anal sex. Luka was charged by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) with impersonation and unnatural offence, contrary to sections 142 and 259 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law.
