Despite recent impressive progress, Sub-Saharan Africa still accounts for more than one-third of the world’s extreme poor, the World Bank has said. A gunman who shot and seriously injured two policemen outside the Italian PM’s office in Rome was acting out of anger at politicians, prosecutors al lege.
