Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Asake has melted hearts after surprising his mother with a luxury Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon G63.
In a video that has since gone viral online, the ‘Mr Money’ crooner is seen warmly embracing his mother before handing her the keys to the pristine white SUV. Visibly overwhelmed, she admired the vehicle with excitement as her son watched proudly.
The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG reportedly starts at about $196,900, with fully customised or special-edition versions costing well above $230,000.
This is not the first time the singer and his mother have drawn public attention together. In December 2025, they visited the palace of Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, in Ile-Ife. During the visit, the monarch praised Asake’s mother for being a consistent source of strength and support throughout her son’s rise in the music industry.
The Ooni also applauded the artiste’s management team, led by his manager Lala, commending their loyalty and describing it as a reflection of the Omoluabi values of integrity and honour.
The singer’s family life has occasionally made headlines. Last year, he reacted after his father publicly accused him of neglect.
Asake first gained widespread recognition in 2020 with his breakout single ‘Lady’. In February 2022, he signed with YBNL Nation, further cementing his place in the industry.
