Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has responded to social media reports accusing him of owing $50,000 for wedding planning services, strongly rejecting the allegation.
The controversy surfaced after claims emerged online that Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, head of the event company reportedly responsible for Davido and Chioma’s wedding, had accused the singer of failing to settle an outstanding bill.
The viral posts were said to include screenshots of an alleged conversation in which legal action was mentioned.

Addressing the matter on Sunday evening, Davido took to X to react to the claims, making it clear that he was unimpressed by the report and viewed it as disrespectful.
“This is just crazy atp (at this point),” the award-winning singer wrote.
