Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo says the club must wait for the results of a scan before they discover the extent of Ola Aina’s injury, Prompt News reports.
Aina limped off of Forest’s 1-0 win over Manchester United at the City Ground on Tuesday night.
The Nigeria international appeared to have injured his calf with no opposition player near him.
After lengthy treatment, the defender was replaced by the on-loan Alex Moreno.
“I cannot say a lot, it is always a concern when a player gets injured by himself,” Nuno said in his post-game news conference.
“We will give him a scan and then see how it looks. I am not quite sure what the precise problem is. The scan will tell us more.”
The 28-year-old has played 30 times in the Premier League this season, with two goals to his name.
