Nollywood actor Afeez Owo has opened up about his marriage to actress Mide Martins, clarifying the long-standing rumors about their alleged split in 2016.
Speaking in an interview with Behind The List, Afeez explained that the incident was the only major challenge they have faced as a couple, and he expressed gratitude that they were able to resolve it.
“There was a time rumours spread that my wife and I had separated. In truth, that was the first and only serious fight we’ve ever had in our marriage.
“Thankfully, we reconciled and came back together. I admit I didn’t handle it well. I scattered things, and at some point, I even thought, is this how it’s going to end?” he said.
According to him, the matter escalated because of social media, which blew the issue out of proportion. “Social media made it worse because it was something we should have resolved privately.
“Out of anger, I left and stayed in a hotel for two days, while she went online saying I had abandoned her and the kids. But by God’s grace, we overcame it,” Afeez added.

The actor emphasized that despite the rumors, his marriage to Mide Martins has remained strong since then.
