The Super Eagles of Nigeria will begin their quest for a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania.
According to the schedule released by the Confederation of African (CAF), the West Africans will play all their three Group C games at the 45,000-capacity Complexe Sportif de Fès in Fès.
Prompt News reports that the clash with Tanzania is slated for Monday, December 23.
Nigeria and Tanzania have net only once at the AFCON with the former claiming a 3-1 victory at the 1980 edition of the competition.
The Super Eagles will be up against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in their second group game four days later.
The North Africans sent Nigeria packing in the Round of 16 in Cameroon 2021.
Eric Chelle’s side last group game is against the Cranes of Uganda on Tuesday, December 30.
The West Africans only match against Uganda at the AFCON was a 2-1 semi-final loss at the Kumasi Stadium in 1978.
The top two teams from the six groups along with four third best teams will advance to the knockout rounds of the competition.
