Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has reacted to false reports claiming that she had passed away, confirming that she is alive, safe and was not involved in any accident.
Kadiri addressed the reports in a video posted on social media, where she appealed to her followers to help flag and report the pages responsible for circulating the claim.
“I AM ALIVE!!! Please help me report. Please, I’m begging you, help me report it,” she said.
The actress, who has two children, expressed sadness over the lengths some social media users go to in order to cause pain to others by spreading false information about their deaths.
Prompt News reports she questioned why anyone would wish death on another person, noting that she has deliberately chosen to focus on her own affairs rather than involve herself in the lives of others.
“I stay on my lane. Leave me alone. I beg you all. It’s really becoming tiring and sad,” she added.

Kadiri’s reaction comes as false death announcements involving celebrities and other public figures continue to surface on social media, often leaving fans and relatives worried before the claims are eventually debunked.
