Peace may have returned to the Labour Party as its National Chairman, Julius Abure, on Thursday in Abuja declared that he is back on his seat as the National Chairman pointing out that the party is now more united and has no faction in its rank.
Abure also disclosed that the suspended Deputy National Chairman of the party, Lamidi Apapa has failed in his attempt to create a faction in LabourParty.
Abure also revealed that the FCT High Court in Abuja ceases to have jurisdiction over a suit praying for a restraining order over him.
The Labour Party National Chairman who spoke to journalists at a press conference at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday revealed that the earlier restraining court orders by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court against him has been set aside by the Court of Appeal.
Said he: “I am glad to inform you, gentlemen of the press that the
FCT High Court restraining order against us has been set aside by “our appeal at the Appeal Court ”.
Prompt News reports that Abure and Apapa has been in and out of the courts for the past few months over the leadership of Labour Party.
But with the news of the vacation of the restraining order by the Appeal Court, Labour Party can now concentrate on the election petitions it lodged with the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.
