The management of Nollywood veteran Ngozi Nwosu has announced that the actress is making progress in her treatment and is scheduled to undergo the first of her three surgeries next week.
The update comes days after the actress appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance, revealing that she was battling a serious but undisclosed illness that requires three life-saving surgeries estimated at ₦30 million.
In a statement posted on her official Instagram page, the actress’ management expressed gratitude to fans, colleagues and well-wishers for the overwhelming support received since the appeal was made public.
Prompt News reports the statement noted that donations, prayers, phone calls and encouraging messages from across Nigeria and beyond have given the actress and her family renewed hope as she prepares for the medical procedure.
