The Nigeria Football Federation has condoled with the Kano State Football Association over the death of former Kano Pillars FC player Abdul Haruna.
Haruna was said to have slumped and died on Sunday while playing for Kano Professionals against a selected amateur side.
“We do not have the full details of how this happened, but we wish to condole you over this unfortunate incident,” NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi, who is in London for a leadership training program, told Kano FA boss, Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, on telephone.
The late Haruna was a member of the Beach Soccer National Team, Supersand Eagles that featured at the 2013 African Beach Soccer Championship in Morocco.
