Contrary to expectations that the emergency National Executive Council (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held on Thursday would be stormy, it lasted barely an hour and was hitch-free.
The meeting had been conveyed to ratify the special convention date and take decision on the upcoming south west congress.
Speaking yesterday with State House correspondents after the NEC meeting, Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi was elated that the ruling party is once more, united, strong and better.
He had this to say about the NEC meeting, “It went on very well, very short and straight to the point. It was just for the ratification of the date for the convention that was all.
“It shows that the family is together and that everybody is working together. We are now happy with one another. The family is together and if there was a problem, we would have stayed longer to solve it,” Governor Yuguda said about the brevity of the meeting.
