Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has disclosed plans for a joint music project with American R&B singer Chris Brown, confirming that the album is slated for release next year.
He made this known while speaking on a recent episode of the Swift Conversations podcast, where he discussed his evolving sound and creative direction.
Davido explained that his current focus is on embracing a more authentic African sound, working closely with producers who were part of his early career.
“The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home,” he said.
Still, the singer emphasized that global collaborations remain part of his artistry. “However, I am still an American so definitely there’s going to be collaborations. Me and Chris Brown got an album coming next year,” he stated.
