Manchester United defeated Manchester City 2-0 in their derby at the Old Trafford on Saturday, Prompt News reports.
It was Michael Carrick’s first game in charge of United.
Second-half goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu secured maximum points for the Red Devils.
It was an impressive all-round display from the hosts, who put a fraught fortnight following Ruben Amorim’s acrimonious exit behind them in style on their way to a first victory since Boxing Day.
The hosts would have scored more goals but for some impressive saves from Gianluigi Donnarumma.
United also had two goals ruled out for offside in the game.
