Flying Eagles head coach Aliyu Zubairu has praised the effort of his players in the dramatic victory over Saudi Arabia, Prompt News reports.

Nigeria got their campaign back on track at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup with a 3-2 win over Saudi Arabia on Friday morning.

Nasiru Salihu, Amos Ochoche,  captain Daniel Bameyi were all target for the seven-time African champions.

The win boosted the team’s chances of securing a place in knockout round.

The Flying Eagles currently sit in third position in Group F with three points from two games.

Zubairu stated that they have to go all out for a win against Colombia in their last group game.

“The players made up their minds that they had to go all out for the three points here and that is what motivated them and the now it’s simple that we have to go all out for the three points against Colombia, it’s as simple as that,” he told FIFA.com.
