Super Falcons interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen has charged his players to maintain their momentum and secure another victory over Comoros in the return leg of their 2028 Olympic Games qualifying tie.
Nigeria recorded a 2-0 win over the island nation in the first leg last Saturday and will welcome their opponents to the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne on Tuesday (today) for the decisive encounter.
Eguavoen is keen to see the Super Falcons build on their first-leg advantage, complete a double over Comoros and advance to the next round of the qualifying campaign.
“We are enjoying a two-goal advantage, but we will try as much as possible to see how we can wrap it up by winning tomorrow’s game. Maybe one, maybe two, maybe three,” Eguavoen told reporters at a press conference.
While expressing his desire for more goals, the coach stressed that maintaining the team’s structure and securing victory remain his main priorities.
“I’m interested in goals, but the structure of the team is what I’m really interested in. The bottom line is to win, and we will try to do that,” he added.
The winner on aggregate will progress to face Morocco in the third round of the Olympic qualifiers scheduled for March 2027.
