Washington Spirit forward Gift Monday has been included in NSWL Team of the Week, Prompt News reports.
The 23-year-old scored the decisive goal in Washington Spirit’s 1-0 victory over Orlando Pride last Saturday.
The encounter marked Monday’s first start for the club, and she celebrated it with her maiden strike for Spirit.
She hit target in the 63rd minute following an error from goalkeeper Anna Moorehouse.
Her teammates; Aubrey Kingsbury, Tara McKeown, and Riley Bernal were also included in the selection.
Prompt News recalled that the Nigeria international linked up with Washington Spirit from Spanish club, UD Tenerife last month.
