Chelsea are monitoring Victor Boniface’s progress at Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, Prompt News reports.
According to TBR Football, the Premier League giants have sent scouts to watch the Nigeria international in recent weeks.
The Blues failed in their attempt to sign his international teammate Victor Osimhen from Napoli this summer.
Chelsea now see the forward as a suitable option as they look to bolter their attack in January.
Boniface has once again impressed for Bayer Leverkusen this season, registering four goals and one assist in six appearances across all competitions.
The 23-year-old has four years left on his contract with Die Werkself.
The powerful striker current Transfermarkt valuation is €40m.
