Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha is not bothered about his suspension by the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), describing it as “irrelevant’’.
In a statement by his Media Assistant, Chinedu Offor, in Owerri, the Governor enjoined his supporters and the people of the satte at large to remain calm and be law-abiding.
Offor stated, “The governor is currently in the U.S. for a town hall meeting, organised by Imo indigenes at Atlanta, Georgia”.
Prompt News Online recalls that the National Executive Council of APGA had on Saturday in announced the dissolution of Imo state Executive Committee of the party.
“The NEC also unanimously resolved to dissolve the Imo Executive Committee of APGA with immediate effect. A 21-member caretaker committee shall be appointed to run the affairs of the party in Imo pending the conduct of the state congress,” the party said.
The National Executive also accused Governor Okorocha of anti-party activities thus, paving the way for his suspension from the party.
