Ten-player Burnley put up a resolute display to hold Chelsea to a 2-2 draw at the Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea had an early Axel Disasi goal disallowed for handball after a VAR check.

Burnley were reduced to 10-men late in the first half after Lorenz Assignon was sent off for bringing down Mykhailo Mudryk inside the box

The Clarets manager Vincent Kompany was also sent to the stands after protesting the decision.

Chelsea were also awarded a penalty following the incident.

Cole Palmer stepped up to calmly dispatched the spot kick.

The visitors equalised two minutes after the break through Josh Cullen.

Substitute Raheem Sterling teed up Palmer with a deft flick 12 minutes from time as Chelsea regained their lead.

Burnley however equalised almost immediately through Dara O’Shea.
