The Kano State Assembly Service Commission has approved the appointment of Alhaji Bashir Diso as the clerk of the state House of Assembly.
The Speaker of the House, Alhaji Ismail Falgore said this while reading a letter from the chairman of the commission, Alhaji Mu’azu Kiru during plenary on Wednesday in Kano.
Until his appointment, Diso was the Deputy Director Information and Publication of the House.
The commission also confirmed the appointment of Alhaji Nasiru Magaji Yola as the deputy clerk.
The Speaker, who described Diso as a dedicated civil servant, congratulated him on his new assignment and expressed the hope that he would bring his experience on board to move the 10th legislature to enviable heights.
Meanwhile, the 2024 budget presented by Kano Gov. Abba Kabir -Yusuf had scaled second reading at plenary.
The house passed a resolution urging the state government to construct a road from Kwanar Diga Zawachiki Housing Estate – Samegu Unguwar Kwari – MasallacinMai Sahad – Madobi Road- Danbare Primary – Mobil BUK New Site Road all in Kumbotso Local Govenment Area of the state.
This was sequel to the adoption of a motion by the chief whip, Mr Mudassir lbrahim- Zawachiki(NNPP-Kumbotso) and seconded by the majority leader, Mr Lawan Hussaini (NNPP-Dala)(NAN). READ ALSO:
