Late on Thursday night, a group of bandits reportedly attacked St. Raphael Parish in Fadan Kamantan, within the Kafanchan Diocese of Southern Kaduna.
During the assault, the parish house was set ablaze, tragically resulting in the loss of Seminarian Na’aman Danlami’s life.
While a few priests managed to escape the harrowing incident, Danlami, a dedicated seminarian, was unable to evade the flames.
His remains have since been placed in the mortuary.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation from either the state government or the Kaduna State Police Command.
However, Rev. John Hayab, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna State, has verified the incident during a telephone conversation with our correspondent.
“It is very sad that killings and this type of evil are still going on,” Hayab said.
