The Commander of the 6 Division Garrison of the Nigerian Army and Commander of Sector 3 Joint Task Force in the South South, Operation DELTA STATE, Brigadier General Edet Effiong has reaffirmed his commitment to providing the Department of State Services (DSS) with unwavering support and cooperation during joint and combined operations.
According to Major Danjuma Jonah Danjuma, Acting Deputy Director of 6 Division Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Edet Effiong expressed this commitment during a courtesy visit to his office at Bori Camp, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, by Madam Clara Olika, the State Director of Security (DSS).
Brigadier General Effiong emphasized that the DSS should not hesitate to seek assistance from the 6 Division Garrison whenever they face challenges, assuring them of his willingness to engage in effective collaboration to address operational exigencies. Madam Clara Olika, the SDS, explained that her visit aimed to foster closer relationships with sister services in the state. She emphasized the importance of maintaining the existing cordial relationship between the DSS and the Nigerian Army.
The DSS appealed to the 6 Division Garrison to be responsive whenever the DSS seeks their assistance, emphasizing that the contemporary operating environment necessitates cooperation among security agencies.
