The Kwara Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the commencement of enlightenment programme for Hajj 2023 intending pilgrims on May 6 in Ilorin.
This is contained in a statement issued by the board’s Press Secretary, Hajiya Falilat Jimoh, on Wednesday.
The statement quoted the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, to have stated this during a stakeholders meeting.
Abdulkadir therefore advised all the intending pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia for 2023 Hajj to attend the first enlightenment programme organised by the board.
He said the programme would take place at the board’s office located along Islamic Village, Gerewu Area, off Adewole Estate, Ilorin.
He added that the programme would feature special prayers to be led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Imam Muhammad Solihu, and other Islamic clerics in the state.
He added that other information relating to the arrangement for a successful pilgrimage exercise in Makkah and Madinah would be passed to the intending pilgrims at the event.
“All the intending pilgrims who have registered with the board are expected to attend as a matter of importance,’’ he said. (NAN)
