NFF Presidency: Emeruwa Meets South-West  Delegates

In continuation of his wide consultation with critical stakeholders in Nigeria football irrespective of the  recent development in the football family, frontrunner in the forthcoming Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Presidential Election, Dr. Christian Emeruwa on Saturday  September 17, 2022, held a strategic meeting with the South East Caucus of NFF to present his football strategy to create a viable football economy that will benefit stakeholders if voted into office.

The Saturday’s  meeting which took place at the posh Golden Tulip Hotels at GRA, Jericho, Ibadan in Oyo state, was attended by His Royal Highness Oba James Odeniran, who is also the Chairman of Oyo State Football Association; Otunba Tade Azeez, Vice Chairman Lagos FA & President, Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) and Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi. Chairman, Ogun State FA.

Also in attendance were High Chief Sola Mustapha Chairman, Osun State FA and Otunba Sunday Dele-Ajayi  Chairman, Ondo State FA and former NFF Executive Committee Member while Ekiti State FA Chairman was absent with excuse. 

As it has been the pattern, the interactive meeting saw Dr. Emeruwa present his football plans for Nigeria Football Federation, explained the current situation of  football in Nigeria  and how he intends to improve on what is currently on ground.

The Head of Safety and Security Department of Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt revealed he intends to improve on what is currently on ground taking  all the enumerated steps in his strategic documents which he presented to the august gathering.

However, at the end of his presentation, the South West Delegates took turns to ask the Presidential candidate critical and pertinent  questions which he answered them satisfactorily. 

There was also full discussions and deliberation on the prospects and opportunity in the upcoming NFF Elective Congress in Benin City, Edo state capital.

The NFF South West Caucus members felt very proud of Dr. Emeruwa and took turns to commend his determination, commitments and professionalism which has been highly and fully  demonstrated  in the course of his presentation.

Specifically, His Royal Highness Oba Odeniran who showered encomium on the Convener, stated that he has known Dr. Emeruwa for a long time and expressed his joy that he has continued to impress him just as he wished well in his mission.  

The elated delegates thanked the candidate who was the former Head of Integrity Unit of NFF before he was poached by the continental football ruling body CAF in Cairo, Egypt,   for inviting them and wished him the very best in the upcoming NFF Presidential Election.
