            NFF President Amaju Pinnick

By Gracious Akujobi           Nigeria Football Federation Appeals Committee chaired by Okey Ajunwa on Wednesday ruled that the Warri election that produced the Amaju Pinnick-led executive committee is valid.

Four contestants- Muazu Suleyman, Sani Fema, Shehu Dikko and Leonard Igbokwe had filed appeal to the Committee contending that the election was not conducted properly.
A release issued by NFF Assistant Director, Communications Ademola Olajire, reads in part:
“On Muazu Suleyman’s appeal: it was unanimously agreed that various FIFA directives and congressional decisions had taken care of all his allegations, and his was subsequently dismissed.
“On Sani Fema’s appeal: it was unanimously agreed that the appeal be thrown out as it was filed out of time.
“On Shehu Dikko’s appeal: All the members, except the chairman, resolved not to consider the appeal because the chairman had on 13th November 2014,shown the committee a letter from Shehu Dikko withdrawing the appeal. Members therefore decided not to consider the appeal.
“On Leonard Igbokwe’s appeal: Igbokwe’s 13 grounds of appeal where extensively discussed. The whole committee agreed that most of the grounds of the appeal had been taken care of by various FIFA directives and Congressional decisions. The only areas of disagreement had to do with the elections of Felix Anyansi Agwu and Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, and the locu standi of the appellant to challenge the entire election, having contested as a member.

“All the members, except the chairman upheld the elections of Anyansi-Agwu and Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, and also maintained that the Appellant had no locu standi to, challenge the entire election.
“In conclusion however the NFF 2014 Elective Congress held in Warri on Tuesday 30th 2014 is herby upheld in its entirety.”
