By Gracious Akujobi Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa has said that Congo will be made to pay for beating Nigeria 3-2 in the first leg of African Cup of Nations when they meet in the return leg on Saturday in Point Noire.
Musa told Prompt News that the Super Eagles that will go to Congo with revenge in mind, insisting that the Congolese must fall on Saturday.
“We are still pained that we lost the first leg in Calabar and nothing will please us more than to go to their home and inflict the same pain on them with a win. We are determined and raring to take our pound of flesh come Saturday.
“The Congolese are good but we are better and we shall show them that their victory in Calabar was a fluke. We shall beat them and return home to stop the South Africans in Uyo. Nigerians should count on us to deliver but we need the prayers and support of Nigerians to do it” he quipped
Also speaking after their training at FIFA Goal Project pitch, Ambrose Efe said that the Eagles will go to Congo and get a good result that will put Nigeria back on track
He said the Eagles are very ready to get the much needed win to go and defend the cup in Morocco but they need prayers to get victory
Onazi Ogenyi on his part said that Super Eagles will go to Congo with positive mind and that with God on their part, the Eagles will triumph.
