The Enugu Taekwondo Association says it has penciled down about 70 athletes for the First Quarter 2024 Grading, scheduled for May 11 at the Indoor Sports Hall, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Ebere Amaraizu, Chairman of the association, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Thursday that that grading would be done by the State Taekwondo School.
Amaraizu said that the grading would provide a platform for promotion of athletes from one belt to the other.
“This will be based on the athletes conduct and understanding of taekwondo tenets, drills, poomsae, sparring techniques among others.
“Grand Master Dennis Ani and the team of taekwondo masters in the school will be able to take on athletes made up of children, youths and adults through a series of classes, drills and sparring techniques.
