Dr. Kayode Ojoogun has formally declared his intention to run for the House of Representatives seat in Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency under the banner of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

In a momentous gathering at the APC General Meeting in Iseyin Local Government, held on the 31st December, 2025, Dr. Ojoogun, a grassroots politician and a renowned community leader, officially announced his aspiration to contest the 2027 general elections.

Addressing a vibrant assembly of party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters, Ojoogun stated that his declaration is a solemn commitment to provide purposeful, inclusive, and effective representation. He emphasized his commitment to transformative leadership, economic empowerment, and inclusive development for the constituency.

His words, “Today, I stand before you not as an individual, but as a servant of the people, ready to champion the aspirations of our communities in the National Assembly,” he stated. “Our constituency deserves representation that prioritizes infrastructure, healthcare, education, and youth as well as women empowerment. Under the progressive umbrella of the APC, I am poised to deliver on these promises and contribute to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.”

Dr. Ojoogun commended the ongoing efforts within the Oyo State APC to consolidate its strengths. He noted that the party’s resolve and growing unity provide a solid platform for electoral success, as demonstrated in the competitive political landscape of Oyo State. He expressed his readiness to work with all existing network of dedicated supporters to secure victory in 2027.

“I am stepping into this race with immense respect for the party structure and the dynamic individuals within it,” Dr. Ojoogun said. “My goal is to unite our energies, build upon the existing foundation of support, and work tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy to every door in our federal constituency.”

He called for the support, counsel, and active partnership of all party members as he embarks on this journey. He expressed confidence that with a united front, the APC will reclaim the constituency and provide representation that truly reflects the people’s will and aspirations.
