Super Eagles head coach Finidi George has expressed disappointment with the outcome of his side’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against South Africa.
The Super Eagles held Bafana Bafana to a 1-1 draw in Uyo on Friday night.
The result put a dent on the team’s chances of securing a place at the 2026 World Cup.
The Super Eagles now occupy fourth position on the Group C table with a paltry three points from three games.
Finidi said picking just one point from the game was not good enough for his side.
“We started sloppy in the first half, we took over the game immediately we scored in the second half,” Finidi told reporters after the game.
“We missed chances, overall it was not a bad second half for us. The players reacted well in the second half, but it was not the best result we wanted, we have to get our heads up and work for the next game (Benin Republic). I am not happy about the point.” READ ALSO:
