Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George has demanded that his side put up a good start against Benin Republic in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying tie.
The West Africans were slow out of the blocks in the 1-1 draw with South Africa last Friday.
Bafana Bafana dominated the game in the first half, but the Super Eagles came back stronger after the break.
Finidi insisted that they must replicate the second half performance against the Cheetahs.
“Benin won their last game (vs Rwanda) and their sprit will be high,” Finidi said at his pre-match press conference.
“They want to win, we also want to win.

He further added: “The game against South Africa is now in the past. We have learnt from that.
“The players know what is at stake and they will do the job.”
