Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr says his team’s right mentality played a crucial role in the victory over Nigeria.
The Cheetahs claimed a 2-1 victory over their illustrious neighbours in Abidjan on Monday night.
It was the second time Benin Republic will beat the Super Eagles.
Rohr’s rallied from a goal down to win the keenly contested encounter.
The Frenchman claimed his team’s never say die attitude contributed to the win.
“We had the right organization, Nigeria scored the first goal, perhaps, they believed it was already done. But the reaction, the desire of my team was so strong that they could come back to win the match,” Rohr said after the game. READ ALSO:
