The Super Falcons of Nigeria were at their best as they walloped Australian side, Queensland Lions FC 8-1 in a test game on Saturday morning.
Randy Waldrum’s side showed their readiness for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World by putting up a commanding display in the game.
Barcelona Femeni star, Asisat Oshoala, who led the team’s attack in the game scored a brace.
Ifeoma Onumonu, Toni Payne, Halimat Ayinde , Rasheedat Ajibade , Uchenna Kanu and Gift Monday scored the other goals for the Super Falcons.
Randy Waldrum’s side are expected to move to their official base, Sofitel Hotel, Brisbane on Sunday.
The West Africans will now intensify preparations ahead of their opening World Cup game against olympic champions, Canada.
PROMPT NEWS reports that the game is slated for Melbourne on July 20.
The nine-time African champions will also line up against Australia and Republic of Ireland in Group B.
Australia and New Zealand will co-host the quadrennial competition from July 20 to August 20.
