By Gracious Akujobi President of Nigeria football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick has defended the choice of Lagos as the venue for the Executive Committee meeting slated for Thursday 8th January.
“It was as a result of this year’s GLO-CAF award which will be taking place in Lagos and by extension every member of the football fraternity will converge in the commercial nerve center of the country hence the choice.
“We choose Lagos because the GLO-CAF award is happening same day and we all will be there for the event,” he justified.
Meanwhile, Pinnick who came to the Glass House on Tuesday for the first time since the New Year met with the top hierarchy at the Football House and thereafter told newsmen that they hope to consolidate on the little success recorded last year.
“The year will begin with an Executive Committee meeting in Lagos on Thursday. We want to chat the forward for the New Year and also consolidate on the little success we achieved last year.
We feel it is good to start early to deliberate on the A-Z of Nigerian Football” he said.
