Wilfred Ndidi gifted the Flying Eagles N5m as motivational boost following the team’s victory over Cote d’Ivoire at the WAFU B U-20 Championship on Thursday.
The Flying Eagles defeated Cote d’Ivoire 2-1 in their last group game to secure a place in the semi-finals.
Ndidi made the donation ahead of the team’s semi-final clash with Nigeria Republic.
Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau also donated N2m to the team.
Meanwhile, the Flying Eagles semi-final encounter against Niger Republic has been shifted from Saturday to Sunday.
The encounter which will be played at the Stade Municipal, Lome will kick-off at 7pm Nigeria time.
Victory against Niger Republic will guarantee the Flying Eagles a place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
