Midfielder Deborah Abiodun and forward Gift Monday have finally arrived at the Super Falcons’ Marriott Hotel camp in Casablanca ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News Online reports.
Their arrival means head coach Justine Madugu now has his full complement of 25 players in camp as preparations enter the final phase before the continental tournament.
Abiodun and Monday were initially expected to join the squad on Tuesday, but their trip from the United States was disrupted after their scheduled flight was cancelled, delaying their arrival by several days.
The pair consequently missed Nigeria’s 2-1 international friendly victory over Tanzania’s Twiga Stars on Thursday night, a game that served as the team’s final warm-up ahead of the competition.
Abiodun was part of the Super Falcons squad that featured at the last edition of the WAFCON, while Monday narrowly missed out on selection for the tournament.
The nine-time African champions are scheduled to depart Casablanca for Rabat on Friday, where they will play their Group C matches.
Nigeria will begin the defence of their continental title against Malawi on Tuesday before taking on Zambia and Egypt in their remaining group fixtures.
