Former Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum believes the team have enough quality to win the title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News reports.

Justine Madugu’s side will be aiming to win a record-extending 10th title in Morocco.

Waldrum, who was in charge of the team at the last edition of the competition also hosted by Morocco where they finished fourth is rooting for them to go all the way this time around.

“I think the players are good enough on their own that they can win it. I think there’s enough talent there based off what was built from the World Cup and the Olympics. Those players will find a way to get the result because they’re hungry to go regain the title,” Waldrum told Eagles Tracker.

“I think they can do that in spite of the coaching because I don’t think that’s there and I don’t think it’s at the level it needs to be to help you win on the World stage but I think the player’s talent is enough.

The Super Falcons held Portugal to a 0-0 draw in a friendly in Lisbon on Monday.

They will lock horns with the Black Queens of Ghana in another friendly on Sunday

The West Africans will face Tunisia, Botswana and Algeria in Group B at the WAFCON 2024 finals.

Their first game is against Tunisia in Casablanca on Sunday, 6 June.
