There was pandemonium in Abuja on Wednesday as #EndSARS protesters continued their protests nationwide including Abuja, the nation’s capital.
However, the protest turned violence at Berger, Abuja, when ProSARS protesters attacked EndSARS protesters who had been peaceful.
In a video obtained by Prompt News Online, the ProSARS protesters mainly from the northern part of Nigeria were seen advancing towards the EndSARS protesters carrying sticks with which they attacked latter.
Amnesty International writes on the clash, describing it as disturbing:
“We are receiving disturbing reports of sponsored armed thugs unleashing violence on #EndSARS protesters at Berger and other locations in Abuja. #Nigeria🇳🇬”
A twitter user @OrjiUka writes:
“Someone mobilised armed thugs to attack peaceful #EndSWAT protesters in Berger, Abuja & the @PoliceNG that had been quick to attack protesters went missing. The Govt whose responsibility it is to protect Nigerians should be ashamed. As should those sowing seeds of discord.”
Another user @mrmacaronii writes:
“I fear who no fear Abuja ooo!! Prosars miscreants went to disrupt protest. They flogged them and put them in ambulance for treatment 😂😂Wahala for who wan disrupt our protest ooo!!!
