LONDON – By Omobolaji Oyegunle
Usain Bolt has revealed that he may not retire after August World Championships in London.
The sprint great had previously said that the last race of a glorious career would be the 4x100metres relay final on August 12.
But the 30-year- old Jamaican has now cast doubt on that following a conversation with coach Glen Mills.
“We haven’t fully made up our mind on what we’re doing yet,’ Bolt said. ‘I’m not worrying about that until the World Championships or at least getting close to it.”
Bolt, who competed in the 100m in Ostrava yesterday( Wednesday’s night) added:
“Right now, I ‘m just focussed on getting through the season.
” I just like entertaining the crowd. I definitely want to try and enjoy every minute of it- it won’t be the same sat in the stadium.”
Bolt has eight Olympic and 11 World Championship gold medals to his name, including another Olympic treble in Rio last year.
