Ukraine and Russia had both reported drone strikes attacking their territories early on Wednesday.
The regional military administration of Odessa said that Russia had launched fresh drone attacks on the port city.
The attack damaged residential buildings and injured at least three people, the military administration said on Telegram.
According to the military administration, a 62-year-old man suffered shrapnel wound and two women were also wounded, according to the post.
Around 130 civilians also had to be evacuated from damaged homes, said the administration.
The information from the war zone could not be independently verified.
Russia had earlier claimed to have repelled several Ukrainian missiles over the border region of Belgorod around 2:40 a.m. (0040 GMT) on Wednesday.
The Defence Ministry in Moscow made an announcement on Telegram that seven missiles and four drones were involved.
“An attempt by the Kiev regime to launch a terrorist attack using Olkha multiple rocket launcher missiles and aircraft-type UAVs against facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation was foiled.’’

There was no information on casualties or damage around Bolgorod. (dpa/NAN)
