Nigeria’s Falconets have qualified for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after a 1-0 victory against Burundi at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Saturday.
The Falconets sailed through 2-0 on aggregate following a 1-0 win in the first leg.
Talented forward Esther Ajakaye fired home the winning goal on 79 minutes.
Ajakaye was teed up by substitute Mary Lucky Mkpa.
Chris Danjuma’s girls defeated another East African side Tanzania in the previous round.
